How to Repair Internet Explorer 5

Individuals using an older version of Windows may have Internet Explorer 5 on their computers. There may come a time when you feel that Internet Explorer 5 is not working properly. Fixing the problem may actually be much easier than you think. Microsoft added a repair tool that comes along with Internet Explorer 5. This tool can be used to detect and fix any problems, making your Internet Explorer 5 as good as new.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Click the "Start" button in your taskbar.
    Choose "Control Panel."

  2. Step 2

    Select "Add/Remove Programs."

  3. Step 3

    Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools." Double click that option. A box containing three different options will appear on the screen.

  4. Step 4

    Click the "Repair Internet Explorer" option and then click the "OK" tab. A second box will appear on the screen.

  5. Step 5

    Click the "Yes" tab in the new box. Internet Explorer 5 will then begin to repair. Once the process is finished, a final box will pop up on the screen. Click the "Yes" tab in this box to restart your computer and finish repairing Internet Explorer 5.
