Make a Snow Globe With a Truck Inside

A snow globe is a whimsical object which gives the illusion that a miniature world is trapped inside the glass. Instead of creating a snow globe that features a mountain village or children playing in the snow, consider a snow globe that captures a personal lifestyle. If someone dear to you has that special truck, look for a small plastic toy truck to feature in the snow globe. Choose plastic over metal, to avoid rusting.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Glass jar with lid Spray paint Florist clay Plastic toy truck Karo syrup Water Glitter Hot glue gun
  1. Step 1

Spray paint the lid of the jar. Allow to dry before proceeding to the next step.

  2. Step 2

Press florist clay over the inside of the lid. Cover completely.

  3. Step 3

Press the plastic toy truck into the center of the florist clay, so that it is held in place.

  4. Step 4

Mix a solution that is 3/4 Karo syrup and 1/4 water. You will want enough to completely fill the jar.

  5. Step 5

Pour the solution into the jar. Fill as full as possible.

  6. Step 6

Add at least 1 tbsp. of glitter. A small baby food jar will take 1 tbsp. of glitter. If the jar is much larger than that, adjust the measurement to accommodate the increase in size.

  7. Step 7

Screw the lid on the jar. Tighten lid and wipe any moisture off the outside of the jar or lid.

  8. Step 8

Glue around the edge of the lid with hot glue, to seal the snow globe.

  9. Step 9

Turn the jar upside down when the glue dries and watch the snow fall.
