How to Fold a South Side Bandana

Bandanas are a colorful accessory that can be used for functionality and as an attractive accessory. A wide variety of colors and styles can be chosen to complement any outfit. As a functional accessory, a bandana can absorb sweat and keep it from dripping into eyes during high heat or while working out in a gym. The following folding style creates a bandana that is 2 inches wide and easily ties around the head.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 22-by-22-inch cotton bandana Iron Ironing board
  1. Step 1

    Fold the bandana diagonally to create a triangle. With an iron set on the "Cotton" or high heat setting, press the fold to create a crease.

  2. Step 2

    Fold the long side approximately 2 inches toward the point. Iron to crease.

  3. Step 3

    Continue folding the long edge toward the point, and iron each to crease each fold.

  4. Step 4

    When you cannot fold anymore because you have reached the point with your folded bandana, tuck the point under an iron.

  5. Step 5

    Tie the bandana so the end with the folded point is against the skin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to unplug the iron when you are finished.
