How to Make a Doll Online
As a younger girl did you love playing with dolls? If so, there's no need to stop now. There are many online sites that allow you to "play with dolls"---dress them up, give them different hair and clothes, and even use them in your online profiles. You can also put your doll on display for all to see and rate how much they like what you've designed. In addition to free online programs, there are also software programs you can buy to make a doll on your computer.

Go to the Doll Dress Up Games website (see Resources below). Sign up for an account and login.

Select the doll and scene that you like the best. You will be presented with a wide variety of different doll scenes to choose from, including a princess, gothic, angel and rock star.

Undress the doll by selecting, dragging and dropping movable clothes and hair from the torso and head to another area of the scene. Then begin adding on the clothes and hair that you prefer using the same drag and drop feature. You can make the doll's hair long or short, blonde, red or brunette. Choose between formal wear like gowns and casual wear like shorts and jeans for your doll.

Add other accessories to your online doll as you see fit. Choose from purses, hats, shoes, sunglasses, earrings and belts (you can remove the items whenever you want). When you're finished adding accessories, click "Next" towards the bottom of the scene to see your finished doll.

If you want to save a small copy of your finished doll for future reference press CTRL+Print Screen and then "paste" into Microsoft Word or an image editing program. You can create a life-like doll and then compete with other dolls at DressupChallenge.com, a site sponsored by the Lifetime channel. These online doll making websites are not just for kids. Use them to get ideas for outfits and hairstyles by trying different shoes, scarves, pants, shirts and accessories on the doll to better visualize the look.
