Decide where you want to hang a curtain rod. A curtain rod height is all dependent on you and your taste. If you have tall ceilings and want to show them off, then hang your curtain rod close to the ceiling for a dramatic effect. If you want a simple more modern look, hang your rod on towards the top of a window casing. The rod can also be hung anywhere between the top of your casing to the ceiling, if's all about what you prefer. The one thing to remember is that the rods should be hung at the same height all the way around the room.

Measure from where you want the curtain rod to be to where you would like the curtains to fall. This will allow you to purchase the right length of curtains.

4
Hang your curtain rods at the desired height. You will need a screwdriver, a battery powered or electric screwdriver will make the job easier, but a manual screwdriver will work as well. The screws should be included in the package with the rod and brackets. Hold the bracket up where you want it to go and screw the screws in through the pre-drilled holes in the bracket. Be sure to make sure you measure where the holes are for the first bracket so you can measure to make the second bracket even.
