Type "invitations" in the "Search for" field in the Task Pane and then click once on the arrow to the right of the field. Adjust the text of the template, and change fonts or pictures to personalize the invitation. To replace text, highlight the entire selection and type in the replacement text. To change the font or color of the text, highlight the entire selection and use the options from the formatting menu. To change pictures, click once on each picture and press the "Delete" key. Insert pictures using the "Picture" selection from the "Insert" menu. You can use your own pictures, or take a look at the Microsoft Clip Art images that you can download (see Resources).

Save and print your invitations when you have completed making your changes. Consider printing them on heavier or designer paper. Depending on the template you use, you might have to cut them down. The example used for this article has two invitations per page, and they are right aligned. Use a paper cutter to make certain everything stays centered and even.

Adjust the text of the template, and change fonts or pictures to personalize the invitation. This can be done in the same manner as step 6 from section 1. The important part here is to adjust the text, so that it reads as a menu request card. In the example, note that the "unable to attend" line was moved to the top, and two lines were added to the bottom that list the menu options. This can be customized to match your specific situation.

Save and print your menu request cards when you have completed making your changes. Once again, consider printing them on heavier or designer paper and use a paper cutter to make certain everything stays centered and even.
Tips & Warnings
Microsoft Publisher has many more template options available for invitations and response cards. Make certain the design and text of your invitations and menu request cards match one another. You can also print envelopes to match, but make certain the invitations and cards fit into the envelope size you choose.
