How to Make Candle Holders at Home
A homemade candle holder for a votive candle makes a personalized gift, and you can be proud to display it on any dining table.
There are infinite possibilities for creating different candle holders that can fit any occasion. Recycle some baby food jars and let your imagination run wild to see what you can come up with.
Things You'll Need
- Wax paper Baby food jars Double-sided tape Glitter (assorted colors) Glitter glue pens (assorted colors) Gemstones Hot glue gun Ribbon (optional) Scissors

Lay wax paper on a work surface to protect the area.

Place the jars you will be using on the work surface.

Place strips of double-sided tape along the top, middle or bottom of a jar to make a candle holder. Vary the widths of the stripes. You could also cut geometric shapes out of the tape and affix them in various places on the jar.

Remove the backing from the tape to expose the sticky side of the tape.

Sprinkle glitter above the jar so that the glitter sticks to the sticky areas of double-sided tape. Use one color or a combination of colors. Shake off the excess glitter.

Glue gemstones to the jar in a pattern that pleases you. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Use glitter glue pens to create designs with dimension on the jars. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Tie a ribbon around the top of the jar, if desired.

Insert a votive into each jar and light.
