Instead of purchasing ready-made handles for your handbags, why not make your own? You can create handles to compliment each handbag individually, and you can do it quite inexpensively. In fact, with very little time and effort you could easily create several beaded handles for much less than the cost of one ready-made handle.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the length you want your handles to be. Add approximately 6 inches to this measurement.

    • 2

Cut two lengths of wire to the measurement taken in Step 1.

    • 3

Bend one of the wires at approximately 3 inches from one end to create a 3-inch tail.

    • 4

Clamp the vise grips onto the loop.

    • 5

Use the pliers to wrap the tail of wire around the wire while holding the loop with the vise grips. Trim any excess wire from the tail.

    • 6

Add the beads to the remaining wire coming off from the wrapped loop.

    • 7

Leave enough space on the wire to make another loop. When the beads have been added and approximately 3 inches of wire remains, bend the tail of wire into a 90-degree angle 1 inch from the last bead.

    • 8

Make a loop in the wire at the 90-degree bend in the wire.

    • 9

Wrap the tail of wire in the same fashion as in Steps 4 and 5.

    • 10

Repeat Steps 3 through 9 to create the second handle.
