Things You'll Need:
- Wall mirror with 2-inch border Newspaper Tape White pearl spray paint Seashells Sea glass Glue gun Glue sticks Sea glass candle holder: Bag of multi-colored sea glass Clear glass coffee mug or candle holder Clear liquid nail Tea lights
-
Step 1
Tape the paper over the face of the mirror, being careful to cover the mirror while not taping any of the borders. The mirror can be any shape that pleases you and the border can be wood, metal or glass. The border can be larger than 2 inches, but should not be any smaller.
-
Step 2
Spray paint the surface of the border if it is metal or wood. Spread the seashells face up and paint them the same color. Let the paint dry.
-
Step 3
Heat up the glue gun and attach the seashells to the mirror's border with glue. If you don't have a glue gun, you can use craft glue, but it takes much longer to dry. Cover the border with shells haphazardly until you can see little to none of the painted wood, metal or glass border.
-
Step 4
Bring color to the shell border by scattering sea glass around as an accent to the seashells. Glue the sea glass in place with craft glue or the glue gun.
-
Step 5
Remove the tape and the newspaper after the glue is dry. Hang your beach themed mirror.
-
Step 1
Clean the outside of the glass mug or candle holder to remove any dust or debris from the surface.
-
Step 2
Attach the sea glass to the outside of the container with clear liquid nail. Arrange the sea glass in a scattered pattern, fitting the pieces as if working a puzzle. Let the adhesive dry.
-
Step 3
Place a tea light in the container for a colorful candle holder.
