Things You'll Need:
- Double-sided minky fabric, depending on size desired for blanket Blanket binding Sewing machine Sewing notions (thread, scissors, pins, etc.) Tape Measure

Step 1
Determine the size of your blanket. A standard twin comforter size is approximately 70-x- 90 inches. A full-size comforter is about 84-x-90 inches, a queen averages 90-x-96 inches, and a king usually runs 108-x-96 inches.
-
Step 2
Cut your minky fabric to your blanket's dimensions. The standard fabric width for minky fabric is 60 inches, so perform this step only if you will be making a blanket with a dimension less than 60 inches.
-
Step 3
Sew together the minky fabric pieces to achieve you blanket size. Perform this step if you're making a blanket with a dimension more than 60 inches. If you must sew seams for your blanket, sew the seams together using a flat-felled seam technique: Place right sides together and sew a 5/8-inch seam. Cut one layer of the seam allowance to a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Roll the layer of the seam allowance that you left at 5/8 inch over onto the top of the cut layer. Sew down so it is flat on the opened fabric. This conceals the raw edges of the seam.

Step 4
Sew the blanket binding all around the edges of the minky blanket. Follow manufacturer instructions for the binding if necessary.
