Instructions

    • 1

Create the salt rim of the Margarita drink by rubbing the rim of the glass with a fresh lime slice and dipping the rim of the glass in salt.

    • 2

Fill a glass three-quarters of the way to the top with ice. Margarita glasses are useful, but any glass will work just as well.

    • 3

Measure and pour 1 1/2 oz. of tequila into a glass. There are many brands of Tequila on the market. Tequila prices can range from around $10 for a cheap tequila up to nearly $500 for the very expensive brands. Is there really a difference in the taste? That would be a definite "yes."

    • 4

Add 1/2 oz. of Triple Sec. Triple Sec is an orange-flavored liquor that also comes in many brands with prices, varying from around $9 to $35.

    • 5

Squeeze fresh lime juice directly into the mixture. Although you can use bottled lime juice, fresh lime juice makes a Margarita drink taste much better. You can opt to use lemon juice in Margarita drinks. It will definitely change the taste, but is just as delicious.

    • 6

Blend well. This can be done by cupping your hand tightly over the top of the glass and shaking. You can also pour the mixture from one glass to another or place the mixture in a shaker.

    • 7

Garnish the Margarita drink with a lime slice.
