Instructions

    • 1

Mix three parts white vinegar with one part baking soda in a small container. This is a natural cleaner and will leave your white shoes shining. When you mix it, this product will fizz a little bit, almost like peroxide--this is normal.

    • 2

Remove the laces from the shoes and lay them aside. Or if you prefer, you can mix another small container of the cleaning solution and soak them in it while you clean the shoes.

    • 3

Dip the toothbrush into the cleaning solution and tackle any large stains first. This will give the solution time to work while you attend to the rest of the shoe.

    • 4

Start at the top of the shoe and work your way down to the toes and trim. Scrub gently with the toothbrush, rinsing it in the solution often. Continue until the shoe is clean and all stains are removed. For really difficult stains that won't come off, try applying a pinch of baking soda directly to the stain and scrubbing it with the toothbrush dipped in solution. This will create a gentle scouring paste.

    • 5

Wipe the shoes off with the damp cloth, and they will be ready to wear after your rinse and dry the laces.

Tips & Warnings

  • This cleaning solution works well on many shoes, just be sure to test for colorfastness on fabric shoes before cleaning the entire shoe.
