How to Make a Toothpick Holder
A container for toothpicks can be more than just an ordinary place to keep toothpicks. With a few crafting materials and a little bit of time, you and your children could create a one-of-a-kind toothpick holder. A homemade toothpick holder adorned with lots of color and embellishments will surely be a bright spot on your kitchen counter. Children will be excited to pass out toothpicks from a toothpick holder that they helped make.
Things You'll Need
- 1.5-inch terracotta pot Cotton cording Felt Scissors Hot glue gun Craft glue Paint brush Buttons and beads for embellishments

Cut a small circle of felt the same diameter as the inside bottom of the terracotta pot.

Glue the felt to the inside bottom of the terracotta pot. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Apply a thin layer of craft glue on the outer surface of the terracotta pot. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Apply another layer of craft glue on the outer surface of the terracotta pot.

Glue the cotton cording to the outside of the terracotta pot by winding it around the pot. Cover the entire surface with the cording from top to bottom.

Clip the cording. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Use the hot glue gun to affix buttons and beads to embellish the terracotta pot. Place them in whatever design that appeals to you. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Fill the toothpick holder with toothpicks.
