Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plain whole milk or low fat yogurt Green tea powder Water Sugar Wire whisk Freezer bowl with cover Mixer or blender Ice cream maker
  1. Step 1

Measure two cups of plain whole milk or low fat yogurt, two teaspoons of green tea powder and half a cup of sugar into the bowl of the electric mixer or blender. Add more green tea powder for stronger taste.

  2. Step 2

Mix the ingredients well for three to five minutes until blended and smooth in the electric mixer or blender. Use whole milk yogurt for rich creamy taste or low fat yogurt for less calories.

  3. Step 3

Transfer the ingredients to the bowl of an ice cream maker and follow your manufacturer's directions. f you do not have an ice cream maker, scrape the contents into a freezer safe bowl from the mixer and cover it well. Put the green tea yogurt mixture into the freezer for a few hours.

  4. Step 4

After the mixture is frozen remove the bowl from the freezer and whisk again with a hand-held whisk until smooth and creamy. Alternatively, you could put it back in the mixer for a few minutes and mix for a few minutes, put it back in the freezer bowl and leave it in the freezer for another hour.

  5. Step 5

Take it out of the freezer and serve it in small bowls. This recipe makes about four servings.
