Installing the ProFit Filter by Kotobuki on Your Fish Tank is Easy!

All fish tank filters serve to make the water suitable for fish by eliminating debris and harmful chemicals from the water. Kotobuki filters are unique in that they provide an automatic continuous filter able to filter even the most microscopic particles from the water. Kotobuki's filter technology is so respected that it is used across a number of different industries, from nuclear power to the food processing industry. Kotobuki manufactures a few different styles of fish tank filters: hang-on filters that rest on the side, upper filters that rest on the top of the tank, bottom filters that lie below the gravel and internal filters that require no installation since they are built into the tank.

    • 7

Turn the valve located on top of the filter to the "on" position.

Tips & Warnings

  • Start off by adding just a couple of fish to your aquarium using a technique known as "equalizing." Place the fish while still in the plastic bag into the water-filled aquarium. This will allow the water in the bag to reach the same temperature as the water in the aquarium. When this process is complete after 15 to 20 minutes, the fish are ready for release.

  • Let your Kotobuki filter run for about a week before adding any fish to the aquarium or fish tank. This allows enough time for any traces of chlorine, which is harmful to fish, to go away and ensure the water is safe.
