There are so many things you can do with sugar cookies. You can use food coloring to make different-colored cookies. You can decorate sugar cookies with sprinkles, frosting, chocolate chips and even coconut. If you don't like your sugar cookies crunchy, you can use this recipe that will show you how to make the same great tasting sugar cookies, but more cake-like.

    Things You'll Need

    • Sugar Butter Eggs Vanilla extract Flour Milk Baking soda Vegetable oil Baking sheet Mixing bowl

        Preheat your oven to the standard 350 degrees.

        Crack 3 eggs in a mixing bowl and be sure to remove any shells that may have fallen in the bowl.

        Add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of sugar to your mixing bowl. Combine.

        Add 4 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 4 cups of flour to the mixing bowl and combine. Make sure there are no lumps.

        Place spoonfuls of the sugar cookie mix about an inch apart on the baking sheet.

        Set the baking sheets in the oven for 10 minutes.

        Remove and cool the cookies before eating.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Top with icing to add color. Top with sprinkles for a child's birthday party.

    • Use pot holders to remove the baking sheets from the oven.
