Instructions

  1. Folding a Fitted Sheet Right, the First Time

    • 1

Find the two longer ends of your fitted sheet, and place your index finger inside each corner so that the two ends form two points. Bring forward (right sides together) to meet the bottom two corners and lay neatly on a flat surface.

    • 2

Turn each of the top corners inside-out, and place inside the corresponding bottom corner. Smooth the corners down and create straight edges; the sheet should now be folded lengthwise.

    • 3

Fold the queen-sized sheet in half lengthwise again, then once more, until all four corners are layered on one side and the sheet now forms a long, straight line.

    • 4

Fold the sheet into thirds to create a neat square with no elastic edges billowing out of the side, or simply continue to fold the sheet in half until you are left with the perfect size square for your closet.

    • 5

Smooth any wrinkles out on top and place in your closet for easy access the next time you need to change your sheets.

Tips & Warnings

  • It's best to fold sheets right out of the dryer for fewer wrinkles. If you own sheet sets, consider stacking your sets together in the closet so you don't have to ruin your beautiful folding jobs by searching for a matching pillowcase.
