Poured fondant is a cream that can be used as coating or filling of cakes, pastries and other sweets. There are many recipes for poured fondant. The simplest being a water and sugar mix. The filling of Cadbury's Crème Egg is poured fondant. These recipes can take as little time as five minutes to make, while others may take over an hour. Temperatures range from 92 to 228 degrees.       Mix sugar, water, extract and syrup into a bowl. Mix well.

      Set the burner on medium heat.

      Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan.

      Cook the mixture until it reaches a temperature of 92 degrees. Stir constantly to avoid burning.

      Pour cooked mixture onto cake, cookies, or whatever your recipe calls for.
