How to Make Gelatin Air Fresheners

Save your money and make your own gelatin air fresheners at home for pennies. It only takes a few minutes to do and can be a great craft to do with older children. Homemade air fresheners make your home smell beautifully and you can make them as strong or mild as you would like. Follow these steps.

Things You'll Need

• One package unflavored gelatin Four to six drops of food coloring 3 tsp. of fragrance oil 1 tbsp. witch hazel 4 oz. jars with lids

Instructions

1. Heat 3/4 cup of water to boil in a small saucepan on the stove.

2. Stir the gelatin into the boiling water and mix well.

3. Remove the gelatin mixture from the stove.

4. Add 1/4 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir well.

5. Mix the food coloring into the gelatin, then stir in the fragrance oil. The amount listed above is optional. Feel free to use more or less as desired.

6. Add witch hazel to the mixture and stir well.

7. Pour the gelatin mixture into clean jars.

8. Refrigerate until the liquid becomes a solid.
