How to Set an Ebay Listing to Start at a Certain Time

Selling items on eBay is a great way to make some extra cash from the comfort of your own home. Taking pictures of items and writing the listings can take a bit of time. If you have several items to list, it could take a few hours or even a couple of days to complete all of the listings. By specifying a certain date and time for listings to start, you can get a better handle on selling and shipping the items.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to eBay with your personal account information. Click the "Sell" button and select "Sell an Item." Enter a title, picture and description of the listing.

    • 2

Select a duration for the listing in the drop-down menu under "Choose How You'd Like to Sell Your Item."

    • 3

Select "Add or Remove Options" next to "Choose How You'd Like to Sell Your Item." Choose "Scheduled Start." If you do not see this option, click on "Switch to Form with More Choices" at the top of the page.

Select the date and time for the listing to start. Complete the listing details, including entering payment options and shipping costs. Click "Continue."

    • 5

Review the listing, and click "List Your Item" when ready. The listing will start at the time scheduled.

Tips & Warnings

  • The scheduling option is only available if you have a credit card registered on your eBay account.

  • There is an additional fee to use the scheduling option. Fees vary by listing item.
