1
Collect all the information about the Bible study that you will need so that you can refer to it while you create the flier. Double check it to make sure that it is all accurate and up-to-date information.
-
2
Open a document in a word processing program. Leave 1-inch margins all around the page.
-
-
3
Center your text. Choose a nice-looking font that is easy to read from the selection your program gives you. Enlarge the font so that the heading letters are one to two inches tall, so that they catch attention. Type your heading, which can simply be "Bible Study." If you like, be more specific, such as, "Youth Bible Study," "Beginners Bible Study," or "Methodist Bible Study."
-
4
Reduce your font to 16 to 20 points, so that it is still easy to read. Skip several lines. Add a friendly statement, such as, "Join Pastor Brown and the 7th Street Church Worship Committee in our new Bible study group as we explore and discuss the Word of the Lord together." You add information about the event, such as if it is a pot luck, or if coffee and snacks will follow.
-
5
If you have a schedule of topics or chapters and verses you intend to cover, list them. That way people will know what to prepare for ahead of time.
-
6
Skip several more lines and add the specific information people would need to know. Include the name of the church, the street address, which entrance should be used, the day, date and the time of the study group. Skip to a new line for each new piece of information.
-
7
Add the name of a contact and the church phone number and E-mail address so people can call or write for questions or more information. If the church has a website, add it so that people can look up the church online.
-
8
If you have clip art, you can add a picture or an illustration of a cross or an open Bible to add visual appeal and make your flier attractive.
-
9
Double check all your information to make sure there are no mistakes.
-
10
Print out your master flier on plain white paper and reserve it for future copies. Use a copy machine or a photo copy service to print out as many copies as you think you will need. Choose a paper with colors that pop, or with an attractive border to make your flier look good.
