Things You'll Need:
- Dial (analog) alarm clock
-
Step 1
Turn your clock to the back and locate the small gear.
-
Step 2
If your clock has an alarm, this gear will pull out to set the time. Pull it out and turn it clockwise while looking at the clock face. As you turn the dial, you will see the minute hand sweep around. The hour hand will progress to the next hour each time the minute hand passes the 12 mark.
-
Step 3
Keep turning the gear until the right time is displayed, then press the gear back in.
-
Step 4
Identify the alarm hand. It will be a fourth hand on the clock, smaller than the minute, hour and second hands.
-
Step 5
With the gear pushed in, turn it clockwise until the alarm hand is pointing to the desired alarm time. You can set it only 12 hours in advance.
-
Step 6
To engage the alarm to go off at the appointed hour, pull the alarm button on the top of the clock up until it clicks into place. When the alarm goes off, pressing that button back down will turn it off.
