Display your child's stuffed animal collection creatively so that it is out of the way but can still be enjoyed. Create a mobile for your baby with small stuffed animals hanging above the crib or fashion a jungle-themed room, complete with flying monkeys, for your son. Hang stuffed animals in the corners of your daughter's bedroom or from the playroom ceiling easily with the right tools and materials. This article will explain how to hang stuffed animals.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Stud Finder Pencil Fishing Line Small Eye Hooks Small Nails and Hammer Stuffed Animals
  1. Step 1

Determine how many stuffed animals you'd like to hang and where you'd like to hang them. You will be creating individual holes in the ceiling or walls, so consider carefully how the animals will be spaced. For two stuffed animals that will hang close together, use one larger eye hook rather than two small ones. Animals can be stretched as if in flight by attaching hooks to the sides or in the front or back. Get creative with this project and your kids will love it.

  2. Step 2

Find small screw-in eye hooks and fishing line at your local home improvement store or at any discount store.

  3. Step 3

Locate the studs in the ceiling or wall where you plan to hang the stuffed animals and mark the spots lightly with a pencil. Small stuffed animals aren't heavy, but securing the hooks into a stud is always a good idea. If you plan to hang large, heavy stuffed animals, you will need a hook on either side so that the stuffed animal hangs properly.

  4. Step 4

Hammer a starter hole for the screws with a small nail. This will make it easier for you to insert the screw-in eye hooks. Place the eye hooks everywhere you plan to hang the stuffed animals.

  5. Step 5

Tie fishing line around the neck, arm or body of the stuffed animal. Fishing line is relatively invisible and, if knotted properly, will hold the animal securely. Tie the other end of the fishing line onto the eye hook and let the stuffed animal hang.

Tips & Warnings
  • Group the animals in a corner with a small hammock, rather than attaching individual eye hooks. You can find small hammocks specifically for this purpose at your local toy store or discount store.
  • Wear safety glasses when you are creating the starter holes or inserting the eye hooks.
