Instructions

  1. Gift Wrap a Prism Box

    • 1

Place your gift wrap on a flat work surface with the wrong side facing up. Smooth out any wrinkles.

    • 2

Place the box on the gift wrap, and center the box on the gift wrap. Loosely fold over one edge of the gift wrap over the box to make sure that you have enough wrap to completely cover the box. Do this from both a side edge and a top or bottom edge.

    • 3

Fold under approximately 1/2 inch along one side edge of the gift wrap. Crease the fold.

    • 4

Take the edge opposite to the edge you folded, and pull it up and over the box to approximately the halfway point. Place a small piece of tape in the center to hold the edge.

    • 5

Take the edge with the fold and pull it up and over the box toward the taped edge. Overlap the edges slightly so that the raw edge of the first side is not visible. Place two pieces of tape along the folded edge to secure.

    • 6

      Rotate the box 1/4 turn.

    • 7

Place your fingers along the edge of the box on one open side. Run your fingers along the edge to create creases in the gift wrap along the edge of the box.

    • 8

Push the gift wrap down from the top so that it conforms to the side of the box. Fold in one side edge so that it conforms and becomes flat. Repeat with the other side. Make all of the folds flat and crease them.

    • 9

Fold under the raw edge of the remaining edge of gift wrap. Begin to fold this edge up, creasing the folds as you go, until you can fold it up flat against the side of the box. Tape the last edge securely with at least two pieces of tape.

    • 10

Repeat Steps 7, 8 and 9 with the remaining edge of the box.

    • 11

Place a big bow on top of the box and add a gift card if desired.
