How to Make a Female Roman Toga
Tying your own toga may seem like an easy thing, but if you don't have a good method, you'll spend the entire night retying it and making adjustments. Make sure you're ready for the toga party by tying your toga the right way using a few simple instructions. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Buy a suitable length of cotton fabric for your dress size. Buy 4 yards for sizes six and smaller, 6 yards for sizes between six and eight and so on, adding 2 yards for every two sizes larger.
-
2
The width of the piece of fabric will actually be the length of the toga from your bust line to the bottom hem. If it is too long, measure and cut the fabric down to size.

3
Put on shorts, underwear or bathing suits as desired. If you want to make sure that no straps show, keep in mind that this toga design ties around the neck like a halter top. Therefore, almost any kind of thin-strapped halter-style top can be concealed completely under this toga.
-
4
Hold one end of the fabric under your arm as you use your other arm to wrap the fabric around your body twice. Wrap yourself somewhat snugly but not so tight as to be uncomfortable or to make it hard to move.
-
5
Scrunch up the loose end of the fabric into a thick rope, but do not twist it. Wrap this rope-like length around your waist twice, creating a belt.
-
6
Bring the loose end of the belt around to your front and, keeping the fabric scrunched into a rope, bring it across your chest and over the opposite shoulder. Hold the fabric in place there while you use the other hand to pull it around the back of your neck and over your other shoulder.
-
7
Pull the loose end behind you, and loop it through the layers of fabric that make up your toga belt. You should now have a belt around the waist, and a halter-style strap that crosses across the chest in front. Make any adjustments necessary, then tie the loose end securely to the belt in back.
