How to Design Your Own Handmade Greeting Cards

You can easily make your own handmade greeting cards, customized for any holiday or event. The recipients of your greeting cards will be amazed that you took the time to make the cards yourself. There are no limits to the designs or styles when you choose to make your own handmade greeting cards. If you need inspiration, look through the scrapbook supplies section of a craft store or at commercial greeting cards.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blank greeting cards (available in stationary or craft stores) Markers Glue stick Ribbons Glitter Stickers Photographs Envelopes for mailing
  1. Step 1

    Write your event information on the front and inside of each of your greeting cards with the markers before you begin to decorate. This will ensure that you will have ample room. Put on the inside of the card the occasion, the recipient's name, and that the card came from you.

  2. Step 2

    Add stickers or glue photographs to the front and inside of the greeting cards, if desired.

  3. Step 3

    Line the outside edges of the front of the greeting card with the glue stick.

  4. Step 4

    Sprinkle the glitter on top of the glued area, shaking off the excess. Glue ribbons to the front of the greeting card, if desired. Let the card dry before putting it into the envelope to send out.
