How to Make Stickers at Home
Stickers are a useful promotional tool, labeling device or creative outlet for children. Businesses use them to help expand their brand and make their logo more recognizable, families may use them to help organize home storage, and kids use them to decorate school books and laptop computers. Design your stickers. For business stickers you may have to scan a company logo or use a jpeg file of your brand. For stickers for kids you want to look for images that they enjoy, such as images of animals, superheroes, trucks, cartoon characters or flowers.

Insert your artwork into your Word or Print Explosion page. For Word users, click on Insert, and then choose From File or Clip art. Find the files or artwork you like and click OK. For Print Explosion users, go to the Graphics button on your toolbar, and browse through the clip art or your own files to insert images.

Print your stickers. Go to your Printer icon or command and select the best settings for your printer. Some printer software also allows you to select specialty paper, so see if you can select Sticker Paper from a drop-down menu.
-
6
Cover the sticker sheet with clear self-adhesive paper, if you are planning on using the stickers outdoors, or if the stickers will be getting a lot of wear and tear. Measure the self-adhesive paper to fit, peel off the backing and press over the stickers, starting at the top and slowly working your way down. Press out any bubbles or wrinkles.

Cut the stickers apart. For business stickers you'll want to use a straight edge or scrapbooking cropping tool to get a clean straight line. For stickers for kids, you can be a little more creative and cut the stickers out in circles or closely cropped to the image.
Tips & Warnings
Use the brightest colored images possible for children's stickers. Brighter colors will last longer and stimulate your children more. Get the most out of your sticker paper. Make stickers in a variety of sizes so that each page will have a variety of usable stickers. This will help eliminate waste and allow you to get many stickers on one sheet of paper.
Homemade stickers will fade eventually if in direct sunlight and are best used on book covers or other indoor recreational projects.
