Things You'll Need:
- Black Cardstock
- White Eyelet fabric
- White Cardstock
- Printer
- Scissors
- Rubber Cement
- Ruler
-
Step 1
Use your craft scissors and a ruler to cut cardstock and fabric into squares of 5 x 7.
*Make sure you have envelopes to match the size of the card, if it is an odd size you may do better to adjust the card rather than order costly specialty envelopes. -
Step 2
Apply the fabric to the cardstock with your rubber cement and allow to dry.
-
Step 3
Using Microsoft Word, design your square insert with a bold red border; making sure the size is 3 x 5.
-
Step 4
Include the following text in an italicized script such as Kunsler Script in basic black:
Mr. and Mrs.__________ request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter (Bride's Name) to (Groom's name).
Date, Time and Place
*ALways include 'Reception will follow' in the even a reception is planned; you will also want to specify the location of the reception whether on the premises or in a seperate location. -
Step 5
Print the inserts onto plain printer paper and cut around the border with your scissors, careful to cut in straight lines!
-
Step 6
Use the rubber cement to adhere the insert to the center of the cardstock over the fabric; allow the cement to dry completely before placing them in the envelope.
