Instructions

Step 1

McDonald's offers free coffee for senior citizens age 55 and older.
Step 2

You can get a Free Happy Meal for your child on their birthday. (Offer is only good at participating McDonald’s in certain states. Ask around to see if the offer is good in your area.)
Step 3

Look for coupons in your local paper. You may find buy one get one free coupons, kids night specials, or other deals.
Step 4

Watch for ongoing promotions. In 2008, McDonald's joined the coffee wars and added their own version of a latte to their menu. Their promotion was called Free Latte Fridays. McDonald's offered free small lattes during the time that breakfast was served.
Step 5

Watch for new promotions. McDonald's has free food promotions on a regular basis. The key is to subscribe to blogs, groups, and forums that post the deals. Visit sites like FatWallet, SlickDeals.net, MoneySavingMom.com, CouponCravings.com, and DealTaker.com. Recent promotions include a Free Chicken Sandwich, McSkillet Burrito, Southern Style Biscuit, and Mickey Dee's Sweet Tea. Make sure you understand the offer. Some freebies require a purchase of another item.
Step 6

If you have a bad experience at your local McDonald's, talk to the manager. Explain what was wrong - food was cold, didn't taste fresh, etc. The manager may give you a free coupon for a future visit.
Step 7

Get free food at grand openings. Watch for new stores to open. Often they will have freebies such as ice cream, a small hamburger, or a kids meal.
Step 8

on 8/21/2009 I get free coffee at McD's all the time, cause I'm old! Not the greatest coffee in the world, but when you're on the road and just wanna stay away, free is good, and McDonald's are everywhere.
