Things You'll Need:
- Camera
- Objects
- Photo editing software
-
Step 1
Set up an area for photo taking if you are taking macro shots. Make sure the background is uncluttered and bright enough to show the product.
-
Step 2
For writing a how-to recipe, clear out your cabinet and take a photo of that step. If you are feeling adventurous, start building up your photo library and photography, salt, sugar, pepper, spices, mustard, mayonnaise, everything edible. Put these photos in your eHow basic folder. Then when you need to show this step, pull out your photo to use. Take photos of a mixing bowl, pot, skillet, potholder, oven dial, and measuring utensils.
-
Step 3
For writing a computer how-to, take photos or screen shots of the page you are explaining. Take a photo of a computer to add as your main photo on computer articles. You can reuse these photos as necessary. Be warned it may seem redundant to use the same computer image, so be sure to take different images if possible.
-
Step 4
For how-to crafts, take photos of each step creating the project. Also, take photos of the individual items in the craft. These are the kind of articles stand out above the rest.
-
Step 5
You get the idea! You can put your name in the image credits and it is not necessary to watermark an avatar size image of salt or mixing bowls. If other people use your images, it is courteous to name the author/or website as the source.
