Things You'll Need:
- A few phone numbers, and your computer. If you prefer, pen and paper will do just fine.
-
Step 1
Consider staying at a well kept economy hotel using a weekly rate. This is a great way to save and kitchen facilities are available at quite a few of the hotels. Don't rule out trips close to home they can be a lot of fun and generally a little less expensive.
-
Step 2
Pack a picnic basket lunch for your day out. Pack cold beverages this will save on restaurants and give you more time to take in activities.
-
Step 3
Buy your excursion tickets before you leave home at a discount rate. Check out the superstores, sometimes the service desk has discount tickets to various popular excursions.

on 5/21/2009 Great tips, especially about packing your own food. Out food is expensive and takes a bite out of your spending money. Subway or even local supermarkets have great deals on subs that can be shared.
