Things You'll Need:
- onion
- spoon
- dropper
-
Step 1
Check your kid’s ear to see if their ear infection involves a perforation. If the membrane in the ear is perforated, you will not want to use this method. If you know what to look for and have the right equipment, you can look for the perforation yourself. Otherwise, you may want to have a pediatrician check your child’s ear.
-
Step 2
Cut an onion in half. You can use any variety of onion. It can be a red, white, or yellow onion.
-
Step 3
Use a spoon and scrape the freshly exposed onion flesh until you have accumulated several drops of onion juice in your spoon.
-
Step 4
Use a clean and sterile dropper and suck a few drops of onion juice into the dropper.
-
Step 5
To treat ear infections naturally, you then drop a few drops of onion juice into your child’s ear.
