Looking for a special way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with your kids? Here are some fun, lucky ideas.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lucky Charms cereal
  • green glitter and/or shamrock-shaped sequins
  • small green treats- bubbles, shamrock lollipop, St.Patty's Day socks
  • green construction paper or craft foam, silver Sharpie
  1. Step 1

This fun activity can be done while your children are sleeping or while they are at school. Simply place a few small St. Patrick's Day-themed treats like stickers, pencils, and bubbles (or other small items you find at store checkout counters) under your kids' pillows.

  2. Step 2

Near the treats, leave some green glitter or shamrock sequins so it seems like an Irish Leprechaun has been there! Kids really have fun believing they have been visited by a special lucky fairy!

  3. Step 3

Cut a shamrock shaped piece of craft foam or construction paper, use a silver marker or white fabric paint and leave a note near the pillow that reads "Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Leprechaun Fairy! Erin Go Bragh!"

  4. Step 4

Place out bowls of Lucky Charms for each of the kids and another note from the Leprechaun Fairy that says "Top o' the Mornin to Ye! Have a lucky day!" This is a really fun way to celebrate Irish heritage- even if you are not Irish!
