The price of gas may go up or it may go down, this article has tips on how to save your money either way. You "can" fight the high prices and save money for some fun in life.

    Trips for over 100 miles or more, be Highway Smart
    It is notoriously know that highway rest stop gas stations are far more expensive than all other gas stations. Most exits that have a rest stop will with-in a mile have gas stations with cheaper prices. By using Goggle maps or MapQuest you can locate gas stations on your route that are off the main exits.
    Also, use your GPS to locate gas station slightly off the main exit with cheaper gas prices.

  2. Step 2

    Surf the Web for the Savings
    You may be running errands or planning a big trip, either way use the web to locate and pinpoint the lowest gas prices in any area of the United States and Canada. Checkout gasbuddy.com or gaspricewatch.com for the most up to date information. A price of .30* difference will save you around $6.00 on a 20 gallon fill-up.

  3. Step 3

    Save Money on Gas while Running Errands
    Plan errands which will be the shortest distance, around trip. Shop at super centers and strip malls. This will allow you to limit your stops at different stores and save your gas.
    Also, check online for your local stores weekly sales ads. Drug stores offer great deals with their on-line weekly ads also. Some offer rebates checks, saving you even more money. Check out Walgreen's.com.
    After you have mapped out your trip and remembering your coupons,LOL, you can save on your gas usage.
