How to Make a Tic Tac Toe Board

In these times of tight budgets, why should our children suffer by not having fun, brainy, games to play. You may not be able to go out and buy the hottest toy, but most likely with scrapes around the house, this game can be brought back to this generation with loads of fun to share!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 12 inch tile slate
• (4) 1 1/2 inch felt pads
• Chalk
• black permanent marker
• white paint
• optional: clear topcoat)
• 9 polished or flat rounded river stones

1. 

   You will need to pick out a 12 inch square slate tile and place affix the felt pads to the underside corners to prevent slate from sliding or scratching the surface it is on!

2. 

   using your chalk, draw a standard tic tac toe grid on your tile. If you want, you can spray the tile with a clear topcoat to keep the chalk from wiping off!

3. 

   Choose polished stones or river rocks for your game pieces. (you can find them usually in the garden center of your local craft store). Draw O's on your dark stones using white paint and X's on the lighter stones using a black permanent marker.

• Choose stones appropriate to age. Do not get ones that are so small that small children could choke on them!
