Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Refrigerator. Place a box of opened baking soda in the refrigerator to get rid of conflicting food odors. Should last several weeks.

  2. Step 2

Garbage Cans. Dump some baking soda in garbage cans to kill odors quickly.

  3. Step 3

Shoes. There is nothing worse than a pair of smelly shoes. Use a bit of baking soda inside shoes to destroy foot odor.

  4. Step 4

Toothpaste. Brush with a teaspoon of baking soda to freshen breath and naturally whiten teeth.

  5. Step 5

Out of mouth wash? Gargle with a teaspoon baking soda in a glass of water to freshen the mouth.

  6. Step 6

Kitchen cures. Sprinkle baking soda on a damp sponge to clean kitchen
    counter tops, stove, refrigerator, cabinets.

  7. Step 7

Laundry. Add about ½ cup baking soda to the laundry and your clothes will smell fresh and clean.

  8. Step 8

Kitty Litter. Sprinkle baking soda over your cat's litter box evenly. The baking soda will absorb the cat odor and extend the life of the kitty litter.

  9. Step 9

Sunburn and Chapped Skin. Sprinkle baking soda in your bath water. And
relax in the mixture. Soothes irritated skin.

  10. Step 10

on 3/10/2009 What a variety of ideas! Step 10 looks like it will be handy this summer for bug bites. Some people also use baking soda as a gentle facial exfoliant (personally I can't, it bothers my skin, but I have heard others swear by it).
