Things You'll Need:
- A Stud Finder
- A Drill
- Another person (LCD TVs are expensive and heavy, so you do not want to risk dropping one)
- A wall mount kit (should come with screws and the wall mount)
- An LCD television
-
Step 1
Get an idea of where you want to hang your television. You don't want to hang it too high or too low, nor do you want it too close or too far away. Visit http://www.practical-home-theater-guide.com/Tv-viewing-distance.html for more info on this.
-
Step 2
Once you know where you want to hang it, use the stud finder to locate the studs in your wall horizontally (*insert lame stud joke here*). Studs are usually 16 inches apart and are 2 inches wide. Once you've found at least two, start screwing! No, I mean the wall mount into the wall, nasty. Screw as many points as possible to prevent tipping and stop snickering!
-
Step 3
Now it's time to lift the television onto the wall mount. Refer to your directions for a diagram of this one.
-
Step 4
Once you've mounted the telkevision, it's time to hide the cables. You can either drill holes into your wall and fish the cables through or buy cord sheaths.
-
Step 5
Enjoy your new LCD television at its best. Don't forget to invite the Joneses!

on 3/11/2009 I didn't think an article telling me how to install a t.v. would be funny, but this one was. I got a giggle and lots of information. Thanks! 5*
