How to Use Your Spare Time Efficiently

So you have an hour to kill in between obligations. What will you do with it? Follow these easy steps to make sure you are being efficient and getting the most out of your spare time.

1. Hit the books. If you are a student and are on campus, it will be convenient for you to do schoolwork. Visit the computer lab, or find a quiet table where you can concentrate. You may be able to get an entire assignment done, or at least get a jump start on one. This would also be a great time to review your notes and study for that upcoming test.

2. Make phone calls. Nowadays almost everyone has a cellular phone. If you know you are going to have some spare time during the day, make a list of phone calls that you need to make. Find a quiet area where you can have some privacy and where you won't be disturbing others with your conversation. Depending on how involved the phone calls are, you may be able to knock out quite a few during your spare time.

3. Catch up with a family member or friend. When life gets hectic our relationships tend to suffer. If you have access to a computer, send that e-mail that you've been meaning to send. You could also give the person a call or meet up with them for lunch.

4. Access eHow! If you have internet access, you could always sign on to eHow to write a quick article (like I'm doing now) or network with your eHow friends.
