Full lips are in! Don't despair if you were born with small lips, you can create lip plumping effects easy with makeup.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lip liner/pencil
  • Lipstick
  • Lip Gloss
  • Lip Brush
  1. Step 1

Start with a lip liner pencil. This is crucial to create the lip plumping effect. You want this to compliment the natural shade of your lips but be slightly on the darker side. The color should make your lips stand out from the rest of your face.

Apply the lip liner just outside the natural rim of your lips. Doing this creates the appearance of larger lips.

  2. Step 2

Blend the line created with the lip pencil inward toward the center of your lips. You can use a lip brush or your fingertips.

  3. Step 3

Fill in the center portion of your lips with a lipstick that is a slightly lighter shade than the lip liner used. Blend lightly with the outer edge.

  4. Step 4

Top off with a coat of lip gloss. The gloss will reflect light and create a fuller, lip plumping effect.

  5. Step 5

Another tip is to keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water throughout the day. Proper hydration helps to keep the lips smooth.

Consider using a protective lip balm with sunscreen at all times as well, especially when out in the sun. This can be worn as a base under your lip makeup, or if it has enough sheen, can be worn as the final coat in place of the lip gloss.
