So you want to make an easy fondant you can pour over a simple cake, then decorate it with other edible embellishments? No problem. This easy recipe takes only ten minutes and is very tasty. Things You'll Need

  • 6 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • saucepan
  • spoon
  • dessert of your choice to decorate
  • edible decorations
  • food coloring

Instructions

      Thoroughly mix the corn syrup, water, and sugar in a saucepan to start making the fondant.

      Melt the ingredient on low heat.

      Put the saucepan on low heat (don't exceed 100 degrees with a candy thermometer). Add more sugar if the fondant is not opaque enough.

      Add food coloring to change the color of the fondant if desired.

      Pour the warm fondant over the dessert you want to glaze. Be sure to cover it evenly and smooth out any bubbles.
