St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17th. This holiday is a day to celebrate St. Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland. It is a day of feasting for the Roman Catholic Church. This day is celebrated during the lenten season, and if it happens to be held on a Friday during lent, the local Bishop can even remove the obligation not to eat meat on that Friday. This is a big day, so here are some ideas to help you celebrate!

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Wear the color green! They make many St. Patrick's Day themed shirts as well! You can also find St. Patrick's day pins, hats, earrings and more!

  2. Step 2

    Eat Irish food. Some examples are corned beef and potatoes, Irish stew, ruebens, etc.

  3. Step 3

    Make some Shamrock shaped sugar cookies! Ice them with green icing!

  4. Step 4

    Drink some green beer!!!

  5. Step 5

    Have an Irish drink - Guinness, Jameson Irish Whiskey or Baileys Irish Cream!

  6. Step 6

    Check and see if your town has a St. Paddy's Day parade and attend it!

  7. Step 7

    Play Irish music and dance the jig!

  8. Step 8

    Have a St. Paddy's Day party, or attend a party. Many local bars & clubs celebrate the day!!
