Take your length measurement times 2. This is the amount of fabric you will need for the front and back panels of your comforter.
For larger comforter sizes like queen or king you will have to piece your fabric together depending on the width size of the fabric you choose.

Fold lenght of fabric in half and cut the f fabric in half so you have two equal pieces. Then stitch the two pieces together length wise. You should have a seam down the middle of your comforter.
Or if you prefer, take the second length of fabric and cut it in half length wise. Then stitch one piece of the second length on each side of the first piece.
Do this for both the front and back fabric of your comforter.
