Things You'll Need:
- Lia Sophia Advisor
- Paper and pen
- Personal address book
-
Step 1
Get in touch with a Lia Sophia Advisor in your area and discuss what you need to do in order to schedule and host a jewelry party.
-
Step 2
Choose a date for your party. Take into account that weekdays might be better to host a party, than a weekend. Or, vice versa. It all depends on you and the people you’ll invite.
-
Step 3
Make a guest list. When I hosted my party, it was suggested I have a list of at least 30-40 guests; it might seem like a lot, but it not everyone will be able to attend. As it happens, usually only a third of your guest list attend.
-
Step 4
Buy or make your invites. My advisor made and mailed my invitations for me. If your advisor doesn’t offer this, plan accordingly, depending on whether you are making them.
-
Step 5
Send out your invitations at least a week or two before your party.
-
Step 6
Choose your refreshments. You should keep it light and simple, depending on what time your party is scheduled. I had mine in the evening and opted for a fruit platter with yogurt dip, and a small cake. I also had water or some lemonade to drink.
-
Step 7
Call your guests with reminders a day or two before your party. This not only reminds them of your party, but also gives you a headcount of those planning on attending.
-
Step 8
Clean your house either the day before or the day of your party. But, don’t go overboard. Now is not the time to decide to paint your living room a different color or to replace your flooring. Your guests will be too busy looking at the jewelry or visiting with one another to notice anything else. Clean as you normally would when you prepare for guests.
-
Step 9
Relax and enjoy yourself at your party. Remember that you’re there to shop for jewelry and mingle with your friends!
