Loofah plantWhen you get ready to harvest your loofah it will look like this. It is after all considered to be in the gourd family.

Peeling loofahMy grandson said to simply pick it and let it dry out until it looks like this. But don't let it lay in the shell to long or it will try to mold.

Step 3
Loofah and seedsIt's going to be hollow when it's completely dry. But save the seeds that fall out so you have more to plant next year.

Step 4
Loofah and basketAfter you harvest your organic loofah you can take them to the local farmer market to sell or make gift baskets.

Step 5
Sugar scrub and loofahMake a sugar scrub and put that in your gift basket along with loofah.
