Using A Central Vacuum
Using A Central Vacuum

Ever wonder how the central vacuums that everyone talks about work? This article will explain the basics and show you just how easy it is to operate a central vacuum system.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to know is that your hose is key. And when I say "key", I mean it literally. You will use the hose to start and stop your central vacuum system. Some hoses will start the system automatically once you plug it in and others will feature an "of/off" switch.

  2. Step 2

Next, you will need to choose the tool or accessory you wish to use. This is simple because central vacuum systems have a tool for everything. If you want to clean the wood, put on the wood floor brush. If you want to do blinds, put in the blind tool. Easy right?

  3. Step 3

Lastly, every few months or so you will need to change the bag or empty the can. This is no different than taking the garbage out. Some central vacuums will have a filter that may need to be cleaned or replaced.
