1
Make your glass cabochon, pendant, plate or other fused glass creation. Your gold decal will be fired during the final firing at a low temperature. Firing the decal is combined with either your slump or fire polish firing.
-
2
Select your decal. Clean the glass with a glass cleaner. You can apply the gold decals to any smooth glass surface.
-
3
Carefully cut out the decal. Soak the decal in warm distilled water. Once the decal begins to separate from the paper, place the decal on glass. Slide the backing off the decal. Use a squeegee or paper towel to wick all the water away from the decal. Be sure the decal is completely dry before you place the piece in the kiln to fire it.

4
Place your piece in the kiln and fire to set the gold decal onto the glass. Be sure to hold your kiln at 1140 degrees F for 20 minutes. Anneal as usual.
