Making a pretty pajama bag for a child is a nice touch for them to place on the bed to decorate their room for Easter and have a place to instantly put the p.j.'s while dressing for Easter festivities or church services.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Purchase or use an exhisting stuffed bunny rabbit. Choose one closest to the size you want the pajama bag to be. Make sure it is big enough to accomodate the size of the childs pajamas or night gown.

  2. Step 2

Take a piece of fabric large enough to make a bag that will hold the pajamas. This can be made from fabric or even a small pillowcase. I using a pillow case then cut off the hem edge since it is double thickness. Make a split down the backside of the bag, just large enough to get the pajamas inside the bag. Hem the cut edge under to finish edges.

  3. Step 3

Make a dress bodice for the bag skirt. Gather the edge of the bag to fit the bodice and stitch it to the bodice. If you can't make your own pattern, then purchase a doll dress pattern that will have a bodice pattern you can use and adjust the bag to fit. Put a little tie bow on the back of the neck edge of the bodice.

  4. Step 4

Once you have the dress bag assembled place it on the bunny and place it on the bed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Children can carry these bags to friends houses for easy p.j. storage.
  • The bunny make a good snuggie too.
  • Measure your bunny to make sure you can get a good fit before starting to sew the bag up.
