Things You'll Need:
- Foam balls
- Gym
- Whistle
-
Step 1
Play a type of "Simon Says', but with robot movements. Outer space activities for preschoolers don't have to always include fancy props. Simply have 1 person be "Simon" and they must move their arms and legs in a jerky fashion while other copy him.
-
Step 2
Tell the kids that robots are used in space to collect rock samples and venture where people are unable. Outer space activities for preschoolers must make sense to them.
-
Step 3
Gather in a wide open area. If you have a gym, that works perfectly. Plus, you can use the existing center line to play the outer space activities for preschoolers.
-
Step 4
Split the kids up into 2 groups. They must stand against opposite walls and wait for the signal. A whistle works best for a signal in most outer space activities for preschoolers.
-
Step 5
Scatter foam balls all over the floor. These act as asteroids. Then, blow the whistle. They children must throw the balls over to the opposite side of the gym. Give them 3 or 4 minutes and then blow the whistle again. The team with the least number of asteroids on their side of the line wins.
