How to Remove Unwanted Programs in Windows Vista

We all need to remove programs from our computers at one time or another. Windows OS's up to and including Windows XP had an add and remove programs folder in the control panel. Windows Vista still has the feature only it is called Programs and Features.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Windows Vista OS
  1. Step 1

    Click on the Windows start button, usually found in the lower left hand corner of the screen.

  2. Step 2

    Clicking on the Windows start button will open a pop-up window from which you can access files and programs. Find the Control Panel button in the right hand column of the pop-up window and click on it.

  3. Step 3

    Programs and Features

    The Control Panel page contains folders to manage all the hardware and software installed on your computer, scan down and double click on Programs and Features.

  4. Step 4

    The Programs and Features page will open and display all the programs that are currently installed on your computer.

  5. Step 5

    Find the program you wish to uninstall, highlight it and click on the uninstall/change button at the top of the page. Follow the prompts and the program will be uninstalled, that's all there is to it.
