Step 1
You can be a substitute teacher. These positions require a bachelors degree and you are ready to go. You have to be open for flexible days because you will get calls at 6am to tell you where you have to go. Pay depends on the region.
-
Step 2
Private tutor. Yes you can be the tutor that comes into someones house and gives a one on one tutorial. However, you don't have to do that anymore. You can offer tutoring services online. You have to be skilled in a certain position. If you don't know where to start you can contact Kaplan or Princeton Review and start working there. They charge anywhere from 20 to 60 dollars an hour. Private tutors set their own fees.
-
Step 3
Part-time receptionist. This is a great job because you can meet the staff and sometimes there will be some free time. You can network and learn many different functions around the office.
-
Step 4
Tax preparer. If you are a stay-at-home mom that has a degree in accounting this is a great job especially in the spring as you probably know. You can charge 80 or 75 dollars and thats a great price for the client because elsewhere its 90 dollars and up.
-
Step 5
Copy Editor. You can proofread documents for any company that needs it. This includes checking grammar, spelling, or structural mistakes. You can also create the text if the company needs help.
